Activities at Plumley Methodist Church.

Church Guild Meeting: a meeting for all, on the last Tuesday afternoon of the month at 2.30pm. This takes the form of a very short act of worship followed by a speaker who may deliver a very topical subject that is not religious. Refreshments are served. The Guild organizes outing and visits to places of interest.

Coffee Morning: a very popular event on the first Saturday of each month from 10.30am until noon. This is usually hosted by Church Members or other organisations. These may be for Church Funds or charity. Anyone can request to host such Coffee Mornings, at these well attended events there is a raffle, grocery and home made cakes stall and bric-a-brac.

The next coffee morning will be on Saturday 5th May proceeds for the church repairs fund.  Please come along if you are able. The  coffee morning in March raised £237 for church funds.

Usually in spring, summer, autumn and Christmas the Church hosts concerts which consist of mainly musical events by talentedgroups, individuals or choirs. Some of these consist of religious music and others music from the shows or brass or other instrument concerts.

Other Activities: during the year All Day Breakfasts are often held, as are quiz evenings, hotpot suppers, afternoon teas, and an Annual Bazaar.

A small group of people organize most of the Social Activities in our Church Hall for which we are most grateful.

Wednesday 16th May 3pm Royal wedding afternoon tea will be held in the church hall.

The Church Hall is also used each week by different groups such as flower arranging and art classes. If you would like to hire our church hall for your activity group please get in touch with us here at the church.
